Police Release Man Detained in Connection to Nancy Guthrie Disappearance
The investigation surrounding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has taken a new turn as police have released a man who was previously detained for questioning. Authorities confirmed that, after several hours of interrogation and review of evidence, there were insufficient grounds to hold him further.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of well-known television host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing earlier this week. The case quickly drew public attention after Savannah and her siblings shared emotional videos on social media, pleading for information and the safe return of their mother. The family described Nancy as a loving and caring woman who would never disappear without explanation.
Law enforcement officials stated that the investigation remains active and that all possible leads are being pursued. They urged the public not to jump to conclusions and to avoid spreading unverified information online. “At this stage, we are keeping an open mind and following the evidence wherever it leads,” a police spokesperson said.
