Hundreds of Thousands Join Iran Protests Around the World
In recent days, hundreds of thousands of people have gathered in cities across Europe, North America, and parts of the Middle East to take part in large-scale demonstrations related to the ongoing situation in Iran. The protests, organized by members of the Iranian diaspora and supporters of political reform, reflect growing international attention toward developments inside the country.
According to local authorities in several cities, turnout has been significant. In Munich, Germany, police estimated that around 250,000 people attended a rally where speakers addressed concerns about political freedoms and human rights in Iran. Similar events were reported in London, Paris, Toronto, and Washington, D.C., drawing diverse crowds including students, activists, and community leaders.
Many demonstrators carried banners and flags while calling for democratic reforms, accountability, and greater protection of civil liberties. Organizers say the rallies aim to amplify the voices of those inside Iran and encourage international solidarity.
Human rights organizations have also expressed concern about reports of arrests and restrictions on protests within Iran. Meanwhile, Iranian officials have defended their policies and criticized foreign involvement in domestic affairs.
